Hi

Here are some pics from Green Bay. We did a lot of playing with the kids. Also enjoy the video of Thomas playing tag with my Uncle Tom. It is hilarious. He would just keep tagging you. It is the previous version of tag! (The pic of the deer at the end was across the street eating the neighbors lawn just before we ate dinner. We really do live in the wilderness up here!)

Didn't do a whole lot today. It was rainy and chilly. Hopefully, there will be less rain tomorrow so softball isn't cancelled. We have a double header again.

I did start writing another novel. Sometimes I wonder why I do that to myself. SIGH.

Hope your Monday was fab!

Back from Green Bay.

Did I mention that I was going to Green Bay? Well, if not, I went. I can't remember when I last posted or what about. So here I am completely telling you stories that you may or may not have heard. That is how I roll. I guess you are at an advantage because you can skip parts of this post if you want to, if you were here with me you would not be able to choose: you would have to listen.

I had a blast with my family in Green Bay. My mom and I first dropped my niece, Rebecca, off in Madison on Friday and then headed to GB. Frankly, going through Madison is not a shortcut. It truly is, in the words of a wise librarian, "the secret slow way." And slow it was because of my niece wanting to know how close we were about every seven minutes. Finally, I was able to calm her soul a little bit by playing the alphabet game where you go in order of the alphabet and find the letters on cars or signs along the way. (If you ever have little bored ones who can recognize letters, play this game. It makes time go much faster!)

We got to GB just in time to have dinner with Aunt Linda and Uncle Tom. Tom grilled us salmon and it was delicious.

We slept in yesterday and Tom then made us eggs for breakfast. (Sometimes life revolves around food, doesn't it?) Then we went shopping with my Grandma Huven and then had a later lunch at Titletown. It was cool to go to Titletown because it actually is an old train station and my grandfather actually worked there years ago. It was fun to hear my grandma talk about him and what he did there seeing I was tiny when he died. It was also fun to hear about my mom and her adventures as a teen. She would often stand on that the very platform where we ate(it was fun to eat outside. A train even passed during our meal) and catch trains to Milwaukee. She was an adventurous soul even in her youth! We actually ate too much and were unable to eat the roast that Tom had prepared for us. Luckily, he was helping my cousin, Shannon, and her husband dig holes for their new fence and the roast went to them.

Today we had a leisurely morning once again and then went out for breakfast. It is always fun to visit with my aunt, uncle, mother and grandmother. I sure do love my family.

I also was able to spend some time with my cousin's kids, Thomas and Gabby. They both wanted to be on my lap last night and who am I to say no to a 4 and a 3 year old? They are quite the lap full though! I sure did like playing with them. They are funny!

Thomas said: "You make pretty scarves" to my mom last night as she as knitting on Tom and Linda's nice patio. He also told Tom that he had a pretty mustache. So funny.

I will post more pics tomorrow, but I am bushed. I guess lazy vacations are tiring.

Take Two....

....teeth that is.

Well, you heard it here first, I now have TWO teeth that are candidates for root canals. My top teeth have had this real weird sensitivity to cold(which is very hard when summer is full of Briqs Softserve ice cream cones). I thought it may be connected to my lower tooth issue from the past few weeks. I was still a little concerned and went back to the dentist today to see what was happening up there. Well, turns out there was some redness beneath an old filling that is probably where most of my pain has come from the past few weeks. SIGH. So root canal in my future on top and pulling of the lower. Sad.

Onto better news....

I got to spend some time with my friend, Marla, in Wausau last night and today. She came to my softball games(we lost two last night, I DO NOT want to talk about it) and then I stayed at her house. We were up until four this morning watching The Bachelorette and chatting. It is always so good to get caught up with Marla. Also, whenever I visit her we manage to get some sandwiches from Philly's. YUMMY. Enjoy the picture. I apologize for you not being able to actually enjoy the sandwich yourself. You will have to just take my word for it....it WAS fabulous.

Tonight my family is going out to eat tacos at a local pub here in town. Their Wednesday special is tacos and they make their shells from scratch...they are divine. I guess it is a good food day so that should make the pain and anguish of the teeth a little easier to chew....literally! HA.

Well, hope all is well with you and that you are having some fun each and every day of this, the summer of fun!

Hodag Hunt

My Seester is in town with her daughter, Rebecca, and Rebecca's friend Adeja(sp?). They are quite a crew and do much better when we keep them busy. Today we went on a "Hodag Hunt." Basically, that meant we drove around to various Hodag statues in town. There are many for some artsy thing! If you don't know much about the Hodag(it is the mascot of Rhinelander's high school) you should visit this site:

It was a good time. We also hit a few thrift stores. I bought some movies. I am an addict.

I have not blogged much here this week. I think I was having a week of rest and relaxation. It is hard work getting into the grove of vacation.

Playing softball was a whole lot of fun on Tuesday. My team won, which isn't the only reason it was fun. I also got to meet a few of the new women on the team. We have a good team this year and the people are cool. I love coming back and playing.

I know you are all living in suspense about my tooth and what is going on there. Well, all the dentists in my life(there are two) think I should get a root canal. I have done lots and lots of research and polling and have come to the conclusion that with a tooth that is cracked my better option is to just have the thing yanked. My sister had some major problems with the same tooth and a failed root canal and my dad has had some bad experiences with post root canal stuff as well. I know that having a gap in my mouth isn't necessarily awesome, but I will be looking into an implant in the next few years. I just think that 1200 dollars for a root canal that may or may not work is kinda a gamble. So there you have the tooth story. I have to find a dentist to yank it and that will be an adventure, I am sure.

It does feel much better thanks to antibiotics. It does not feel good when I eat ice cream without thinking about not getting ice cream on that side of my mouth. OUCH. Maybe I am just eating too much ice cream. Wait, is there really such thing as too much ice cream? I didn't think so.

Sugar Camp Disc Golf Course

I have only lost two frisbees so far on this course. It is always on the same hole. It is evil. Don't worry, I do find the discs after losing them but it usually takes 5-15 minutes. I think I will be frequenting this place quite a bit this summer. It is very nice.

I also got my fishing license yesterday. I am sure there are some good fishing times to come soon!

I think the summer's theme (besides "The Summer of Fun") is that of Kelly Clarkson's CD All I Ever Wanted. I listen to it all the time. I have included "My Life Would S**K Without You," enjoy! My Dad hates the CD(it is in my mom's car and plays wherever we go!) I tell him; "No, I will not take it out. I am driving and I get to choose the music." I bet he wishes he never said that in all the years I was growing up. Haha. Mean!

The Concert Pics Finally!

Here are all the Kelly Clarkson Pics you could ever want....enjoy! The pics of her backstage were taken just before the concert. It was cool: there were like five of us at the fence yelling at her and she turned and waved and pointed and then did a little dancing for us. Way cool! Great night and concert!

Lost Voice and Such!

I haven't had a voice since last Thursday night. I think I yelled a little bit much at the Kelly Clarkson concert. It was awesome. See the video below that I made in the Minneapolis Airport on Friday. It is pretty entertaining.

I went to Wausau today to get some direction on the tooth issue. The dentist told me to get an appointment with a specialist to get it done which will cost $1200. Yeah just pocket change, isn't it? I am debating whether or not I should just get the tooth yanked and then deal with an implant later on. Sigh...it is hard being an adult sometimes.

I was able to visit with a few friends while in Wausau today. I brought lunch to my working friend, Marla. She works from home which is convenient because she can stop and have lunch with me easily. I then went and visited with Kim and her little family. She has a way cute new baby but I couldn't hold her because I have this weird cough(I think it is my body getting my voice back to normal but I didn't want to chance it being a cold or something). It was blast just hanging and playing with her three year old and chatting. We also watched part of "The Bachelorette." I am addicted. Her husband, Jesse, also taught me how to drive a four wheeler tonight. It was a blast.

The Summer of Fun is just that, FUN!

**The battery on my camera is dead, so I will add more Kelly pics tomorrow. Man, I have been putting that off and off!

Made It

I have made it home!

Yesterday was my nephew, Kris', graduation party. It was fun to see much family but it makes me feel a bit old that he is a grad! We stayed at my seester's house last night(we being my mom and I. My dad was hurting too much(leg).) I sure do love my seester and her family. It is always a good time here in Madison.

We are heading back to Rhinelander today. I slept a lot last night. My tooth has been KILLING me. The first night in Rhinelander I only slept from 4am to 7:30am. Not nice!

I hope I can sleep again tonight and get in with the dentist to finish this stupid root canal tomorrow. .

Look for new Kelly Clarkson pics tonight. Have been a bit busy lately. You can also see all the songs from the concert by searching "Kelly Clarkson UVU" on YouTube.com.

Enjoy "I Do Not Hook Up"

One of the better videos I filmed at the concert! More pics to come later! It was fabulous!

The Day Before Kelly Clarkson!

My blog feels naked without a picture so I just took one of myself. It is not the best because I just got done cleaning and it made my hair do funny things. Sorry about it.

Today was busy and good all at the same time. Okay so maybe it wasn't all good. I found out that I have a cracked tooth that needs a crown. The problem with that is that the mold to make the crown would not get back in time for my dentist to fix it by Friday. SIGH. So in other words, I have to either live with the pain I am feeling or get it fixed in Wisconsin and live with the pain of paying a lot more out of pocket to have the work done. That is the only depressing part of today.

I went to lunch with MB. She is so nice. I am kinda sad that she is leaving Provo in a few weeks. Hopefully, she will move to someplace warm with a beach when she comes back from her trip to Europe!

What else did I do today? I got an oil change. I also went to Sams Club. I am now a member...YIPEE!!!

I also frisbee golfed today and threw one of the discs into the trees. I found it but it was a lot of work to get it. I got a little scrapped up from branches too. Always an adventure.

It keeps raining here too. That is kinda weird. It is like it is Wisconsin or something. I hope it will quit in order for Kelly Clarkson's concert to not get rained on tomorrow. It will be good even if wet, I think!

Week in Pics

Lots happened in the celebration of Caleb's Graduation. We had lots and lots of fun doing fun things. Enjoy the pics. I am tired.

Worked for a few hours today on the Health packet, played frisbee golf, watched a movie with Janette and visited with Christine and Aiden today! Gotta do some cleaning tomorrow. So exciting!

I am tired. I have been busy, busy and busy since Wednesday when I got back from Vegas. Caleb is officially a graduate. I feel old.

I have just been hanging a lot in Salt Lake the last few days. We did a lot of chatting and eating. I also did a lot of Oliver holding. Man, that baby is cute.

I also got a henna tattoo on my leg of a sun. Sarah, Morgan, Caleb and I all want and got them. They were all pretty cute. I will have to put up some pics.

I should go to bed it is 1:23 a.m. I guess I don't have to though, because it is summer! :)

Night!

Back in Utah for a Spell!

I had an extra day in Vegas which was nice because I got more little boy, baby and Morgan and Derek time. I also go to road trip with that cute little family which was actually better than I ever imagined it being! I had to help them pick up things a lot and give them little snacks but other than that they were so good. Baby Oliver had a hard time sleeping in his chair(he hates it) so I had to man handle him and it looked like I was choking him but I was not. He was very content in that position for some reason. He is weird already. Just kidding. By the way if you don't know this little family they are Morgan's family who is practically my sister, she is a Bills. I stayed with them while in Vegas.

I also was able to see Alyssa and her family because of my extra day. I was very glad for that. I was a total moron and turned off my phone for most of the weekend and missed and missed and missed her calls. Bad, bad friend! I was glad to see her!

Since being back in Utah it has been busy and busy. Today Caleb(another Bills) graduated from high school. I first met him when he was little and in footie pajamas and now he is a high school grad. That is weird and I feel old! It was awesome to see him graduate today. I also was able to go to his Court of Honor for his Eagle Scout and that was way cool. He truly has grown into this amazing young man who is a great leader! Congrats Caleb!

I was able to sleep at home last night. So comfy. I also slept in. Oh wait, I have been doing that for the whole week. Ahhhhhh!

I think that is it for now. Only one week until the Kelly Clarkson Concert. Then the next day I fly home. YIPEE! Let's hope for less turbulence!

"People Miss Planes; It Happens All The Time..."

Guess who got real sick in Las Vegas? Morgan? Derek? Henry? Spencer? Oliver? Paris Hilton? Nope, Alice. That is right on vacation in Vegas, I got sick. How did I spend my day yesterday? Laying on the couch hoping that my Immodium-AD would kick in and feeling real hot and then extremely cold. It was MISERABLE!!! So, I was supposed to get on a plane back to Utah today but I have decided that a plane ride being a little quezy would not be any fun and I would like to have a little more fun in Vegas before I head back.

So here I am. Oh, I bet you are wondering how I will get back to Utah. Well Morgan and Derek and the kids are heading to Salt Lake tomorrow for brother Caleb's graduation festivities and have room for me in the car. I figure this goes along with my theme for the summer: "The Summer of Fun." It will be an adventure to travel with Morgan's family and I will hopefully get to see my friend, Alyssa, tonight seeing I was too sick to hang with her last night.

Sunday, I got to catch up with some friends from Wisconsin, the Mcbains. They had us over for dinner. It was fun!

Well, I think that is all I got. Oh wait, here is a cute side note. Henry(Morgan's oldest 3) was so very nice to me while I was sick yesterday. He would notice that my water cup was empty and he would pick it up and say: "I get you more water, Aice.". So sweet. I have loved getting so many hugs and kisses from both Spencer and Henry. They are sweet boys. I also am enjoying getting baby time with Oliver. What a fun and cute family. I am glad to get another day with them!!!
