Labor Day Weekend

So why do they call it Labor Day if most people really just stay home and don't labor? Curious.

I had a great time in Vegas with the Bills family. Every time I mention said family, I feel like I need to explain The Bills and why they are like my second family. Or actually, more precisely, my other family. I met the Bills back in 1994. They pretty much opened their home and their hearts to me. They have even adopted me in a way. Whenever one of the Bills kids gets married, there are family pictures. I try to get out of the picture because I feel they should have a real family pic without me, but they always refuse. It is like I am family. I find it kinda cool to have two families because wherever I am, there is family. I love both my families, so please families, don't be jealous of each other! You are all awesome!

Morgan and Derek live in Vegas and just moved to a very cosy place way north of the strip. It is a nice place and I always love visiting them. Their three boys are so dang cute. I just want to squish them! Spencer decided that Alice was too hard to say so he would sometimes call me "Alalalala." Henry kept hitting me in the butt even though I told him a million times that my butt is a little tender. I guess three year olds just don't get that! Oliver smiled and smiled at me. He makes my heart happy. I have been really happy to have my second family because I get to be an aunt to wee little kids. I haven't got that with my own family so it is nice to have it. (NOW...I totally love my other neices and nephews too. See how I feel this guilt like I should only have a heart for my biological family, even though many of them are not biological either!)

We did some hiking in Nevada and I was pleasantly surprised that there could be beauty so near the grossness of the strip.(Don't get me wrong I love my Belagio Fountains, but The Strip really isn't my favorite place!) I even had the crazy thought that I could actually handle living there It was a fun hike, even if we thought it was much shorter and less strenuous than it was. I enjoyed it highly and found a great sense of accomplishment when I reached the teeny tiny waterfall at the top. The waterfall wasn't stellar but the view of the valley below was!

We also ate some great food and visited tons. We even played a bit of trivia via my tv plug in Buzztime. Way fun.

I felt like I need a vacation from my vacation at the end of work today. I am a lazy butt and just watched some episodes of House online. I am finally catching up from when my DVR died last spring.

I must now go get my Guitar Hero on.

Enjoy the pics of the hiking and fun trip. Relish in the beauty of the fountains, too. CHEERS! Also, the music is for Joshy Washy. He and I traveled together from Provo to Vegas. We sung "Behind These Hazel Eyes" in different octaves in honor of his hazel eyes. It was hilarious!
