Posting from bed...

...and it is glorious.

It has been a bit chilly here lately. It is kinda weird; it is like Fall just arrived on a particular day. I love Fall. It is my favorite for many reasons:
1. I sleep so much better in cooler temperatures.
2. Fall foliage makes my soul happy.
3. Football, duh!
4. Can you say World Series?
5. Hooded sweatshirts and coats make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
6. Slippers on my feet whenever I am home.
7. Going to Logan for the pumpkin walk.
8. Halloween and Halloween decor.
9. Thanksgiving. That is one heck of a meal.
10. Fall break

The only thing that bums me out about fall is that Winter follows.

So. I am pretty awake and have time to tell you the Gandolfo's story. It may not be hilarious to you at all but I kinda chuckle when I think about it. And I apologize in advance for this lengthy post.

So. We had half days on Thursday and Friday. On Thursday, Kirsten and I decided to get Gandolfo's for lunch. We also took an order fo a co-worker, who wanted a "Damn Yankee" sandwhich. While looking on the menu I could not find said sandwhch, so I asked the person behind the counter if they still made that sandwich and this is the answer I got: "Yes we still make that sandwhich but we took it off the menu because some customers were offended by the name. They were also ordering the "Dang Yankee". "

I found this hilarious and found about twenty opportunites to say "Damn Yankee". Apparently, I am a heathen. Seriously people, damn is in the Bible. Silly conservative Utah!

I also thought that we better call Janette and see if she wanted anything or I may risk bodily harm if I re-entered the school with Gandolfo's and didn't bring her any. She did not answer but called back as Kirsten was driving us back to school. Of course, she wanted something so Kirsten had to do some amazing driving moves in order to get to the drive-thru, including dodging some of our students who were taking a short cut through the drive-thru. This mixture of cell phone talking and dodging students caused her to miss the ordering spot. I found this oddly funny which got me in trouble later. I opened the window and shouted at the students to get out of the way and told them that it is dangerous to drive while talking on a cell phone which is demonstrated by the missing of the ordering station by Kirsten. Funny, no? Kirsten also had to order awkwardly because when correcting the over shoot she backed up a little too far. I again found it hilarious and that got me in trouble as well. After finally getting through the drive-thru, we headed back to school with our food. I noticed some grade school aged kids walking and started to roll down the window to say something smart to them. Kirsten. Stopped me by locking the windows. I then proceeded to open my door. It was funny to me as I said : "like you really can stop me!". Funny, no?

The students who we harrassed in the drive- thru told both me and Kirsten that we were bad examples the next day at school. Her because she was driving and talking on the phone. Me because I didn't stop her. But in reality, I had offered to drive for Kirsten after we left Gandolfo's so she could eat her food but she wouldn't let me. The story would have been less hilarious and then she wouldn't have to try and place blame on me! Too bad.

End note: Kirsten makes life more of an adventure and I am glad we are buds!
