Sunday Sass.

I like Sundays. They always seem to be a quieter than the rest of the week. Today, it was just a typical Sunday. Waiting around for church in the morning, then going to church, then dinner. Not a whole lot of excitement but a whole lot of relaxing. I almost feel ready to go to work in the morning. ALMOST!

This video is hilarious. It is of a little boy who hates vegetables. What kids doesn't? He really wanted more meat but couldn't have any until he finished his corn. You can see the pain in his face in the pictures. Poor kid.

I like babies. Aren't they cute? And good for the soul?

Shake Saturday.

Aimee stayed the night and we woke up and hung out a while and then went to the movie, The Dilema. Cute little flick. We then had lunch at Sammy's. It was delightful. I sure do love me a pie shake. Remind me to take you there when you visit Provo.

Aimee then headed back to Salt Lake and I hung out a while and digested. The shake and fries made my side hurt a little bit. High fat, I guess. After I felt okay, I went running. You can read about it HERE. Then I just hung out the rest of the night and watched some TV and read between the commercials. I lead a pretty exciting life, don't I?

Hockey Friday!

Do you know what one of the coolest words in any language is? Zamboni. Say it aloud a few times: Zamboni, Zamboni, Zamboni. When I was a child(just about two years ago) I had dreams of owning a Zamboni. I thought it would be the coolest thing to be able to drive it from my house to school and then eventually ice skate to school. The dreams of childhood are pretty spectacular, aren't they? I never even thought about how some people would be really angry because they don't like to drive their cars on ice.

I get really excited to this day every time I see a Zamboni. My friend, Aimee, and I went to the Utah State vs. BYU hockey game this past Friday night. Not only did I get to see a fabulous hockey game but my Aggies won and we sat on the front row. (Sorry to you BYU fans. Too bad this is the only sport that USU actually wins each year!) Very fun stuff.

Before the game, Aimee and I went to dinner at Burgers Supreme. It was fabulous. Have I mentioned that I love my burger days? Well, I do.

We then went back to my house and watched the movie The Accidental Husband. If you have not yet seen this movie, you should. It is way cute. See my review HERE.

It was a great start to a good weekend!

Thirsty Thursday.

Who knows where I come up with titles for my posts. It is funny sometimes. I guess this one comes from going to baseball games in Salt Lake. Thursdays are always "Thirsty Thursdays," where beer is cheap as well as other drinks, but they advertise the beer the most. This really doesn't apply to me because I am not a drinker and often judge people who drink something that is a whole lot of yeast poop. In my younger days, when I was experimenting with the vile beverage, I thought it has to be as close to what poop would ACTUALLY taste like, if I was stupid enough to eat poop, that is! I am off task. This is how most of my Health Class went today. It was fun though and the kids were engaged which is good and we were enjoying each other's company, which is good at the beginning of the semester!

The picture in the middle is of half of the faculty at school at lunch today. This week we have been wearing a different color each day as a faculty. Today was an all black day. It has been fun to have all the kids ask why the teachers were all wearing the same color. Very silly. It is good that they have at least noticed. It is also fun to do and has made the week exciting and fast.

The first pic is of the mirrors in the bathroom at work. We do fun lists on them. I wrote the topics that have been up this week and it is fun to read them. It makes me smile.

Something else that made me smile today was going to the Provo Temple. We Mormons(Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) have temples. Inside we make covenants and learn more about God and His plan for us. I love the temple. It is one of the most peaceful places on the planet. The peace I feel there always touches and uplifts my soul. I am very glad I went. It felt as if I was being pushed to go there today. I had thought about going earlier this week but one of my friends couldn't go and I have a hard time going on my own. Today, I had a freak out moment for some reason about the summer and going home(I have no clue why because summer is still pretty far away. Maybe it had to do with the end of January email that my softball coach always sends out to see if we are committed to playing on the team this coming summer). A friend suggested that I go to the temple and seek inspiration there. Another friend said something about being in tune with The Spirit of God and how doing that would make me always choose the right path for me. Both these friends inspired me to get to the temple today. It was wonderful. I'm very glad I went! Isn't that a great picture. Don't you want to go there?

Well, I best be moving on to bed. It is actually calling me...can you hear it? I bet you can't because you are smart and already in bed yourself. Good for you. Happy almost weekend! Cheers!

Midweek. (Is it Friday yet?)

Drove to Payson again to night for the weekly Weight Watcher meeting. It was fun to go as always. The pic is from the drive. The sunset is always great on the way. I took this at a stop light, quit worrying. I know the reality of consequences for distracted driving and I am not distracted. Well, except for at stoplights.

The day went fast. I am not complaining. I am excited to have the weekend here. Sometimes I think I am wishing my life away when I am looking forward. I should live in the moment better.

I really need to go to bed. I hope you had a fab day!

Tuesday's Should Have Been Post...

Well, here I am on Wednesday getting you caught up on Tuesday. It wasn't all that exciting. I did clean off my stove and clean my toilet and sink. Productive, right? I have a friend coming to stay on Friday and I thought I best be gettin' to gettin' it clean!

I did go and watch The Tourist with my friend Jane. Movie night has changed from Monday to Tuesday because of Jane's current schedule. It is nice to have somebody to go with, even if you don't do a whole lot of talking DURING the film! It is a fab movie. I need to blog about it on my movie blog. Maybe I will go get caught up on there now!

Happy Mid week. I may be back tonight to write about today! It is hard to live in the past...haha.

Sometimes...

Sometimes I wear two different colored socks. Sometimes I go running with a bright yellow Green Bay Packer hat. Sometimes I watch Bones. Sometimes I finish a book on my Nook and like the sound of saying it. Sometimes I watch Chuck and wish Zachary Levi would be my boyfriend. Sometimes I eat eggs for dinner. Sometimes I make popcorn for desert. Sometimes I buy new running shoes. Sometimes my side hurts. Sometimes I get checked out by a midwife. Sometimes I am nice and don't rub the Packers win in the face of a Bear fan co-worker. Sometimes I play badminton. Sometimes I wish my second hour had more than six kids. Sometimes work goes by in a blur. Sometimes I run through memory lane. Sometimes I write random blog posts. Sometimes I go to sleep. Sometimes I say goodnight!

Sunday

Today was a way good day. Not only was I able to attend Stake Conference for church, hang out with one of my favorite little families and hold a cute baby, but the Packers are going to the Superbowl. Now that is a good day. Very good.

Those boys are cute aren't they? Henry told me that he had watched football like I did and that he cheered for the guys in green. Spencer was Batman the whole time I was there and Ezra was a sweetheart and I held him for over an hour. LOVE IT!

Click HERE to go to The Green Bay Packer website. That is where I got the pic! :)

Sundance

I finally got the opportunity to go to The Sundance Film Festival today. It was a way cool experience, even if the movie Jane and I saw was a little on the weird side. We had been shopping at the outlets and our timing to get to The Eqyptian Theater was perfect because there was a man selling tickets just when we were about to go do something different. We only stood in line for about ten minutes until they started bring the line inside. It was fun to just be a part of the whole experience and the theater was way cool.

When we were walking away from the movie, somebody kept yelling "Oprah Winfrey." We almost didn't turn around and check things out, but we were glad that we did, because we totally saw Oprah. She was at an art gallery just up Main Street from the theater. I wish my phone would be better at quick shots, but it isn't. The woman in the gallery is Oprah. Then you can also see her in the middle of the crowd in the other picture. Her friend Gale is just behind her. It was quite a sight the mob that had gathered outside the gallery to get a look. It was an adventure. I am very glad we decided to go today. It was a blast.

We also had some fabulous pizza at Main Street Pizza and Noodle. It was very very yummy! We then wandered up and down Main Street a little trying to see some more celebrities, but we didn't find anymore. It was a very fun day. And I even got new clothes, including jeans, which I desperately needed. Very satisfied with today! :)

Friday and Such!

About to head to Park City to see if I can see a film at The Sundance Film Festival. You know that big movie thing! Should be an adventure.

I hate brussel sprouts...just saying. There is not enough olive oil and spices to make it okay. GROSS. And yes dad, I tried it twice and figured it out!

Yesterday we had some fun with Matt, our Special Education Leader, at lunch. Doesn't it just look fun?

Last night was burger night. I LOVE burger night. I love the petite burgers. I think I mentioned that before! It was blast. We also hit a dollar movie afterward. Very fun. See ya in the future. I am outta here!

Laffy Taffy Jokes

These just made me smile, so I am sharing:

"WHAT'S GREEN AND SINGS?"

Elvis Parsley

"WHAT HAS 10 LETTERS AND STARTS WITH GAS?"

An Automobile

Brilliant, no?

A Real Good Day!

Included a pic of my Leadership class. They were real good and fun today. I am still not sure how some days they can be AMAZING ROCKSTARS, and then the next complete dweebs. Crazy. We had a good talk about attitude and how our choice to be either positive or negative can make or break our lives. Very good and interesting. The pic is from an activity they did using washers on a string. Basically, I got them to move the washer back and forth without thinking about it. Their mind truly had control over their body. Cool how our minds are so powerful!

The other pic is from the weekend in Vegas. Isn't that one cleaver fan. Take an old and stupid Favre jersey and make it into a Starks jersey. Talk about making a negative a positive, right? So coo. What a small world to find a guy in Vegas who went to college 45 minutes away from where I grew up. Totally cool.

Well, it's getting late. I was going to watch some TV but I better just sleep for my students' sakes tomorrow. I did some things I love today:
1. Taught cool kids. Played badminton against my favorite competition.
2. Laughed and laughed at lunch
3. Went to a Weight Watchers Meeting
4. Picked on my leader! Read about it HERE
5. Went to dinner with my friend, Jane. Applebees' steak is so yummy. My lack of gallbladder did not like it but I did. Good talks with Jane as always.

Here's to another good day tomorrow.

Tuesday that felt like Monday!

Today would have been Movie day, if it weren't for the whole grades being due today thing. I am still having a hard time grasping the fact that the school year is already half way over. That is just plain nuts. And plain exciting. Oh summer, I await thy arrival!

Today was a good day. The thing I did that I love is have lunch from Gandolfo's with my friends, Kristi and Jackie. We have now dubbed Tuesday as lunch together day. They both have second lunch. I technically do not, but because I have prep hour during fifth hour, I can take second lunch if I prep during my regular lunch. It is totally fun to get out at the middle of the day and see the sun shine. It is also way nice to talk with Kristi and Jackie. They are two of my favorite people.

The other thing I did that I love is run outside. It was warm enough today and the snow is suposed to come tomorrow, so I totally took advantage of it. I love running. Have I mentioned that ever? If you ever want to read about my runs, I do have a running blog here. I also wore two different colored socks while I ran. I am pretty awesome. It does nothing to help people see you any better, in case you were wondering. I totally had to be very aware of my surroundings because two people cut me off. Jerk faces. Good run though. I am way lucky!

Good day and tomorrow is already midweek. How cool is that?

Vegas Baby!!!

The weekend went very fast but it also feels like I have been in Las Vegas for a while. That is a nice feeling for a weekend. Don't you think weekends should be five days long and workweeks only two?

Anyway, it was a blast to be here for my cousin Chris' wedding celebration. I was able to spend time with cousins, aunts, and uncles from my dad's side of the family. They know how to party! Friday I landed and hung out with them for a while. It was funny that my cousin, Ann, came up and said: "I know this is silly, but are you Alice?". We hadn't seen each other in 20 years.

Saturday, I was able to go to lunch with my friend, Alyssa, and her daughter. Raising Cane chicken is amazing. We then headed to the strip and saw the fountains at Bellagio. Later, I watched the Packer game with the family back at the hotel. Crazy that they are one game away from the Superbowl! I am dang proud of my Packers!!! We also celebrated Chris and Yvonne's wedding with a fabulous cake. Yum!!

Yesterday, we did a bit of hanging at our hotel, The Orleans. Then my Aunt Judy and I went down to the strip and walked around. It was nice to get out in the warmth and sun!! Then we later watched a movie at the theatre in the hotel. It was nice to be low key and have times inbetween activities to rest. I took some good naps inbetween reading on my new Nook in my room. Thanks mom for the room. It was great!

Today, Alyssa took me to breakfast and then dropped me off at the airport. I am now awaiting my flight back to Salt Lake. It's sad to leave but it was a nice little relaxing weekend. I am glad I decided to come!

Holy Cats Thursday Flew By!!!

Fast, fast day. There was no date but there is a reschedule. Kinda threw me for getting in something I love today. Let's say that I had a good chat with some friends, held a smiling baby, and ate some chocolate. All things that I love.

It was a real good day. Lots o' laughter in the faculty lounge during lunch. I was laughing so hard I was crying at one moment. I do work with amazing and fun people.

The term ends tomorrow...that is just plain silliness. Crazy that I will be training a whole new bunch of Health students come Tuesday.

Here's the the beginning of a great long weekend! :)

Midweek.

The week is flying by. It is already Thursday morning. When did that happen? I think this whole, do something you love doing is really a great thing. Tonight it will be eating sushi. Have I told you that my new title is "player?" Yeah, I have decided to be a dating machine again. Okay, so I have never been a dating machine, but that is my new title and goal. I am just going to date and date and date and date and date and date...you get the idea. I am just going to have fun because if you aren't having fun in life, what the heck are you doing? I am going to quit worrying about my singleness and dwelling on it so much because it is much too depressing to just feel like I am a loser because I haven't found me companion in life yet. It just isn't true and it isn't worth worrying myself to death over. So, I am going to be a player. Which means...I am going to date so many men. This week the flavor of the week is Latino. I have been talking to two men from one from Central America and one from Southern America. One is taking me to sushi tonight. It will be fun. I am calling it "Salsa Spice Week! :)

Wednesday was good too. The thing I did that I love doing is going to a Weight Watchers meeting. That sounds silly, doesn't it? Well, if you knew my leader you would understand. She is no longer teaching the Tuesday night class I was attending in Provo, but she does hold a class in Payson on Wednesdays. My friend, Jane, and I went down for it and it was totally worth it. It was a new experience and a little nervous because sometimes new things make me nervous, but I am going to keep going because Marion is very important to me and my journey! It was a way big meeting with lots more people than are at the Provo meeting. "Stranger Danger," I say, but hey what are strangers but future friends?

Those pictures come from the 20 minute drive to the meeting. Pretty, no? Don't worry I am very careful and good at taking pictures while driving but I don't think I will do it often because they are kinda blurry and never turn out as pretty as my eye actually sees!

Well, off to change young people's lives. Have a fabulous day, would ya?

Tuesday Lunchin' With Kristi and the Gang

Imagine, if you will, an actual picture of me and Kristi and our gang eating lunch together in the lounge today. See Kristi and her crew eat second lunch. I could do this if I wanted to everyday, but sometimes first lunch is very entertaining. What we have come up with is a lunch out together each and every Tuesday. Now the thing I will look forward to and what will be something I love doing each Tuesday is to have lunch with Kristi and the gang. Good times. It was Subway today. I like food.

Day went fast. I kinda feel like I am coasting right now. Isn't it fun? Only three days until I am off to Vegas, baby. I bet you are jealous. And yes, Morgan, I will eat Raising Canes at least once. They don't deliver do they?

Well, I have been sleeping on my couch for who knows how long. I best be getting myself to my bed after I rip the contacts off of my eyeballs. Ouch.

Hope your Tuesday was terribly fantastic minus the terrible.

Thanks Heavens for Movie Mondays

So Mondays are supposed to be Manic right? Mine was for the first five minutes. That was the time before I remembered that I was going to go to a movie right after school today. It was then that I looked up movie times and realized that Country Strong was now in theatres. It is an excellent movie. See it. Also read my review HERE. (I skipped The Tourist for the second week in a row. Does that mean I am not supposed to see that movie?)

Good day overall. The kids were pretty good and the day went fast. No big problems and few funnies. Here is the biggest funny of the day:

Me: "Okay. So what is the term for the muscular contractions that move food through the digestive system?"
LONG PAUSE
Me: "The term starts with a P."
Not so sharp student: "Penis."
Me: "No, Penis is not the term for muscular contractions that move food through the body. Any other guesses?"
LONG PAUSE
Me: "The correct term is peristalsis."

This kid has serious issues. It makes for some funny times that I totally appreciate in my 6th hour Health class!

I must now go sleep after writing on my running blog HERE. Thanks for being cool enough to read this blog!

Weekends go too fast!

Not much to say about the weekend. Saturday consisted of getting that yummy fruit and veggies from Bountiful Baskets and then staying in my PJs and watching football. Both things I loved!

Today I went to church and also went and hung with The Hageys. Derek was more excited then the picture portrays. I love hanging with them too.

Here is to this week being amazingly awesome!
