Vegas Baby!!!

The weekend went very fast but it also feels like I have been in Las Vegas for a while. That is a nice feeling for a weekend. Don't you think weekends should be five days long and workweeks only two?

Anyway, it was a blast to be here for my cousin Chris' wedding celebration. I was able to spend time with cousins, aunts, and uncles from my dad's side of the family. They know how to party! Friday I landed and hung out with them for a while. It was funny that my cousin, Ann, came up and said: "I know this is silly, but are you Alice?". We hadn't seen each other in 20 years.

Saturday, I was able to go to lunch with my friend, Alyssa, and her daughter. Raising Cane chicken is amazing. We then headed to the strip and saw the fountains at Bellagio. Later, I watched the Packer game with the family back at the hotel. Crazy that they are one game away from the Superbowl! I am dang proud of my Packers!!! We also celebrated Chris and Yvonne's wedding with a fabulous cake. Yum!!

Yesterday, we did a bit of hanging at our hotel, The Orleans. Then my Aunt Judy and I went down to the strip and walked around. It was nice to get out in the warmth and sun!! Then we later watched a movie at the theatre in the hotel. It was nice to be low key and have times inbetween activities to rest. I took some good naps inbetween reading on my new Nook in my room. Thanks mom for the room. It was great!

Today, Alyssa took me to breakfast and then dropped me off at the airport. I am now awaiting my flight back to Salt Lake. It's sad to leave but it was a nice little relaxing weekend. I am glad I decided to come!

Vegas is fun but I dont know if I could handle more then a couple of days there. Fun for you to be able to be with family and to see your friend again. Love it!
