Opening Day Brings Joy!!

So, why does the first day of the baseball season bring so much joy? Well, it isn't just a game played by millionaires. It is the smell of the freshly cut grass, the groomed dirt, the pure white chalk, the peanuts and the cracker jacks. It is about the end of a harsh winter and the promise of warmth. I love baseball season!! My dodgers even won today! I also am pretty excited about that ticket I have for the game in a little over a week that I will attend in San Francisco!!

Besides baseball, I also had some joyous feelings while visiting Shule and her cute baby Elia! So fun to catch up again!

Good day and it is Friday tomorrow. Yipee!!!

Addiction Monday.

I am addicted to a lot of things. Now, I don't think all addictions are bad.

Being addicted to running isn't bad. I loved running in the cemetery today. Some people think that running there is weird. I find it peaceful. Nice face, eh?

Neither is being addicted to holding babies!

Being addicted to temple work is actually quite good.

And who says having too many shoes is harmful?

I have a lot of vices. Here is a list of a few more:
1. My iPhone. It does so much. It connects me to the people I love that live far away, I can text which allows me to not have to talk on the phone, sometimes it is taxing to talk. My iPhone also carries all my good music. Like right now, Sheryl Crow's "Love is a Good Thing" is playing while I type this on my IPhone. Addicted much?
2. Popcorn seasoning. Tonight I had chili lime, butter, nacho cheese, white cheddar, and chocolate marshmallow. Delicious.
3. My air-popper. The thing is so fascinating. I sit and watch the corn pop just like any kid would.
4. My two new t-shirts. One has two chocolate bunnies on it. One has its butt bit off and the other has its ears bit off. The one says:"My Butt Hurts" and the other answers "what?". The other shirt claims that "Idioms are for the birds.". Love it.
5. Having a hot beverage in the morning. It just makes the day a little easier to face.
6. Diet caffeine free Pepsi. It is so much better than Coke's version and is crucial to my well being during Lent.
7. Extra's Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Gum. It is like having a bowl of ice cream without the bowl, calories and cold!
8. My TV. Hello. You all knew that.
9. Grapefruit. So yummy. I eat them like oranges.
10. Bananas. I have one for breakfast every morning. And when they are getting too ripe too fast, I eat one for a pre-run snack(two per day is great, beware of FOUR per day)!
11. Hats. I love to wear hats. I need to buy more girly ones!
12. Staying up too late. I must stop writing this list because it is late.

Addictions are not always bad. I am proof of it.

Silly Sunday

The weekend escaped me. It just flew by.

Ate in Layon. Funniest bit: when telling the other mother about a cool game app for her phone called Paper Toss(the point is to throw a wad of paper into a wastebasket) and I said you can play in a bathroom, office, bar, or airport(meaning the game has those places for levels) she asked why you couldn't play it anywhere. Silly madre. She thought I was talking about the capability to play where she actually would be. So funny. I cried while I laughed so hard!

Saturdays, wonderful Saturday!

I ventured up to Layton to visit The Hageys. We hung out and ate some amazing breadsticks. These breadsticks are amazing. I love the pizza place in Layton. I probably would move there just for these breadsticks. They are amazing, did mention that?

We also had some amazing yogurt. It was delicious. Funny how my life evolves around food most days!

The kiddos were so cute. Ezra is a sweet boy. I sure think he is cute in that purple bumbo. I also think he already can tell how amazing those breadsticks are. Look at him leaning over to get a closer look at the breadstick Spencer is holding. Oliver was dang cute as he pretended to drive to frozen yogurt. He was also pretty cute with the balloon he got at the yogurt place.

I like weekends. The end!

Holi Festival of Colors.

I participated in Holi at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple. Holi is a festival celebrated in the Hindu religion that celebrates the beginning of spring. You can read all about the Festival HERE. There is a whole lot of throwing of colored chalk at each other to celebrate Spring!!!

It was a blast. I hope you enjoy the pics!

Friday is for F and Fries...wait that was backward! Long week!

The kids spelling out HOPE for Suicide Prevention Week.

Cool clouds over mountain. Taken after Red Robin.

Fridays are nice. Time seems to be flying. It is crazy!

I am tired and thinking about going to my bed. Weird. The week has worn me down.

Cheers!

Madness Continued!

Arm wrestling competition for Suicide Prevention Week

Watching the BYU game at Iggy's.

Curt, Kristi and I went to dinner in celebration of me getting born!

War wounds from playing basketball. The wall won!

Thursday is a good day. (even with getting hit in the eye with a basketball). I am sad that in PE they are done with it. I've enjoyed playing!

Dinner at Iggy's was fun too. It was sad that BYU lost(I know weird this Aggie was cheering for them. I got a bad case of Jimmer Fever!)

The day ended with ne on my couch, just the way I like my day to end!!

Is it tired in here or is it just me?

This was taken on my run today. It is a pretty cool stump. It helped me to find Morgan and Derek's apartment when they used to live in Provo a million years ago!

Sometimes a note can say so much. This one in the Payson High faculty lounge made me laugh!

Provo doesn't even have a P. I guess that is because we have a Y for BYU. Payson is sure growing up!

I am tired. Today was good and fast. I need to sleep and get to bed earlier tomorrow.

Terrific Tuesday.

Good day. School flew and the kids were fun today.

My run was awesome. Seriously, I was worried that it was going to be miserably chilly run. I actually over dressed. It was sunny, which it hadn't been all day and then it seemed to just get sunny for my run. Awesome.

Kerri and I did our traditional Tuesday temple adventure followed by Biggest Loser. I love hanging with Kerri. She is a good egg and we always have a good time!

Good day. It's tired in here. Late night again. It may prove to make Wednesday a little difficult. We will see!

Monday Monday!

Monday came. And then it went. I had a bellyache all day long. This was my own darn fault (cake for breakfast, REALLY?)and I needed to feel like crap for eating crap in order to get back on track. Weird that I was thankful to feel icky. I guess I'm a weirdy and I like it!

Lazy Sunday

I didn't take nearly enough pictures of the weekend. I have no excuse. Just like I have no excuse for posting this at 11:30. I should be sleeping. I am getting too old to be awake this late when I need to be up for work.

We mainly just hung out in Manila today. Sarah fed us good food and we lounged. My kind of a day!

The drive home was good and then we had dinner with the other part of the clan in Sandy. I gained three pounds this weekend. It is now back to non crazy eating.

That eagle was along the road just outside of Manila.

Ezra is getting big. I sure do like him. We had fun talking today! Spencer and I had fun taking silly pictures.

I better sleep. It is always sad when weekends come to an end. Here is to one heck of a fantastic week for us all!!

Prom is not just for the young!

Saturday was a good one. Sarah and I went to Vernal to do a few errands. I like the dinosaur theme. I also like when I am surprised with fries at the bottom of my food bag because I forgot they were there.

Josh had a fun time at prom. Isn't he cute? I like that in small towns prom is a community event. We went and saw the kids do a cute dance and the presentation of the prom court. Good times!

It is nice to get out of dodge for the weekend!! It was like a mini vacation. Thanks Sarah, for having is and being so good to us!

3/18/11

Stopping in Wyoming for dinner is fun!

Eating dinner in Evanston, Wyoming at Arby's probably doesn't seem like it would be all that fun but when you go with this kid(Josh, a brother from another mother) it is a blast!!! He does some amazing sculptures doesn't he?And seriously, what is up with the cowboy pictures? Only in Wyoming!

Pics from the Madness!!!

Two pictures that also demonstrate my love of technology from the previous post. The three computers were set up in the faculty lounge at work today during lunch. We like our basketball just a bit. The other one is me watching two games on the TV and one on the computer. Heavenly!
